The roundabout area is monitored alongside Route 130 as part of the broader traffic-camera network maintained through the partnership between Hawai‘i County's Department of Public Works, Hawai‘i County Civil Defense, and the State of Hawai‘i Department of Transportation. Camera images update every five minutes, though certain cameras may be unavailable daily between 10pm and 4am for maintenance.

The Pāhoa Roundabout serves as a key gateway along the Route 130 corridor, where traffic flow through the intersection directly influences travel patterns for residents and visitors moving between the lower Puna communities and the rest of Hawai‘i Island. By integrating this junction into the broader Punatraffic.com monitoring network, the roundabout's conditions are tracked alongside surrounding roadways, giving drivers a more complete picture of congestion, moderate-to-heavy flow periods, and any disruptions that may arise. The partnership between state and county transportation agencies reflects a shared commitment to improving daily commutes and emergency response access across the region, ensuring that real-time information remains accessible to those who need it most.
