Punatraffic.com is a free web service offering information on transportation conditions along Route 130. The website provides up-to-date information on traffic and weather conditions, events, construction closures, and incidents.
Why It Was Created
Punatraffic.com was established by the County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works and Civil Defense in response to the anticipated threat to Route 130 from the Puu Oo Lava Flow. The service helps drivers and residents travel safely through the Puna district.
What You'll Find Here
- Approximate travel times along the key route in and out of Pāhoa.
- Images from a network of traffic cameras, updated every five minutes. Camera images may be unavailable daily between 10pm and 4am for maintenance.
- Coverage of areas approaching the Pāhoa Roundabout, supported through a partnership with the State of Hawai‘i Department of Transportation Highways Division.
